Answer: WRITE

Each frog transforms the words in some way. In the first row the frogs remove the first or last letter. In the second row, the frogs add a letter {R, S, T} to the word. In the final row, the frogs are either {antonym, rhyme, anagram, change a letter}. Doing this in reverse yields hopefully one unique word for the blue word.
